About HydrometLATAM
Varysian’s HydrometLATAM, held in Quito, Ecuador, on 12–14 May 2026, brought together meteorological and hydrological services, development partners, researchers and private-sector innovators from across Latin America and beyond. Through panel discussions, technical presentations and regional case studies, the event explored forecasting and early action, modernising observation networks, data management, AI and climate-resilient infrastructure. Contributions from organisations including WFP, FAO, GIZ and national weather services highlighted how hydrometeorological information can support practical decisions across disaster management, energy, water and agriculture.
