The Global Hydrometeorological Excellence Awards is the first-ever awards ceremony dedicated to recognising the world’s leading contributors in meteorology, hydrology, and climate services. Hosted by Varysian, this landmark event will bring together global leaders, public and private sector professionals, and cutting-edge innovators in the field.


Varysian is uniquely positioned to host the 1st Global Hydrometeorological Excellence Awards, as an established organisation conducting Public-Private Engagement (PPE) across the developing world, Varysian has built a reputation for neutrality, credibility, and expertise with both sectors.


Having collaborated with and hosted over 100 representatives of national meteorological services, we are a trusted voice in the industry, fostering dialogue and innovation across diverse global stakeholders. With a deep understanding of the sector’s challenges and opportunities, we feel Varysian is the natural choice to recognise excellence and drive the future of hydrometeorology on the world stage.


The Global Hydrometeorological Excellence Awards is more than an event; it is a milestone in the industry. By nominating individuals or organisations for these awards, you are recognising their work, impact and contribution to the hydrometeorological industry.

Nominations are now open

Each award category will be assessed by a diverse panel of judges from the industry.​ A few things to keep in mind when nominating:

 

  • You can nominate an individual/organisation for multiple awards if they meet the criteria

  • You can only submit one nomination for each category

  • Self-submissions are allowed and encouraged

  • For each nomination, we request a brief synopsis of why the individual/organisation meets the criteria of the award (max 500 words)

  • Each nomination can be supported with the addition of URLs

Entries close on the 11th June 2025
Shortlists will be announced on the 30th June 2025
